Welcome to Anchorage, Alaska!
Update 15 May, 2020: We will soon be re-opening to the public! As of May 20th, the Copper Whale Inn is available for inbound travelers. We have put in place some changes to our procedures, to keep everyone safe and happy during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Each guest room will be disinfected between guests. Our rooms are always impeccably clean, but we have added the use of approved disinfectant on every hard surface where the virus could linger. The same is being done in all common areas, multiple times per day. We ask that guests wear masks if using the common areas. We highly recommend using our outdoor garden seating areas for extended relaxing time, where the sun shines and the airflow is constant.
Breakfast will not be served buffet style during summer 2020. Instead, you will choose your favorite breakfast items by order form each day, for a bagged breakfast to be prepared for you to pick up in the kitchen the following morning. Most of the favorites will still exist, and dietary restrictions are still welcome! But to prevent the spread of the virus, there will be no shared platters of food, no breakfast attendant hovering near the food, and reduced touch points during breakfast hours. We strive to provide the high quality free breakfast for which we are known, so please do not hesitate to make special requests or ask questions about the breakfast offerings!
Every room gained its own private coffee machine last summer, with locally roasted coffee. We have now added electric kettles for easy hot water, so more personal comfort can be accomplished without visiting the common areas, should you prefer to keep your public contact to a minimum.
Hand sanitizer is provided in all rooms, and in the common areas. Check-ins will be done in the after-hours self check-in manner, with keys being sanitized before being put in key packets. Copper Whale team members will still be present during the day, and can help you carry your bags to your room if you desire, and this will be done with the employee wearing a mask and washing and sanitizing hands before touching your personal items.
Thank you for your understanding, and please do not hesitate to email us at email@example.com for questions and clarification!
